Paruin Krecs was a turian military officer in service of the Federation of Joseo. He became infamous after the war over Sheshisimal concluded in a draw, and was court-martialed for his act of authorizing use of nuclear arms on the contested colony world. The court-martial found Krecs guilty of False Invocation of Duty. As result, he was dismissed from the military service and demoted to "formerly meritorious citizen" caste, a caste of condemned criminals.
Krecs passed away in squalor in the year 1851, largely forgotten by the galaxy. His only remaining legacy today is the idiom 'authorize a Krecs', which has come to mean an overblown reaction to a situation that only worsens it.
